Senior Sports Day

On the 21st of June 3rd to 6th classes had a very energetic sports day in Terry Coyle Park.
From traditional activities like the egg and spoon and sack race to the more unconventional teacher jigsaw relay race the girls really enjoyed their day.
The ice-cream hut and the yummy fruits and vegetable taster stand were very much appreciated breaks from all the activity.
Medals were won and memories were made - and everyone slept well that night!

Fun Fitness

After School Fun Fitness is back! The girls in 2nd class were back in action yesterday with the resumption of Fun Fitness.  Mr Mc Govern put the girls through their paces, with lots of exercises and stretches, all while having fun with their friends. We had a few reports of aching legs and tums this morning but after 6 weeks of practice these girls will be super fit!

Aldi Rugby Sticker Promotion

As part of our MASSIVE fundraising drive to provide better playing facilities for our pupils, the Active School Committee have been driving forward the Aldi Rugby Promotion. With every poster we fill, we are in with a chance of winning a HUGE €50,000 for our school.  We are now on poster no.5! So thank you to all the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who have supported the school by sending in their stickers.  The promotion continues until April, so plenty more time to fill more posters to be in with an even greater chance!
