Active School Flag

We are delighted to see great progress with our new school building. We are especially delighted to see our flag poles reinstated allowing us to proudly fly the flags, we as a school community have worked so hard to achieve.

On Tuesday 20th December The Active School committee invited in members of the All Ireland Winning St Clare's adult rounders team. We are so proud of these fantastic sportswomen who amongst their members are past pupils, staff members and parents. They showed us their magnificent cup and medals and spoke to us about the importance of keeping active and how rewarding it is to be part of a team. Then along with our principal and vice principal, ably assisted by Liam our caretaker, they raised our Active school and Green Schools flags high into the air for all to see.

To finish up the Active school committee led all 500+ students in some seasonal exercises. Great fun was had by all and everyday as we walk to school our flags remind us of the tremendous achievements of our whole school body and the importance of staying fit and healthy.

Fun Fitness

After School Fun Fitness is back! The girls in 2nd class were back in action yesterday with the resumption of Fun Fitness.  Mr Mc Govern put the girls through their paces, with lots of exercises and stretches, all while having fun with their friends. We had a few reports of aching legs and tums this morning but after 6 weeks of practice these girls will be super fit!
